Seasons Greetings
Dearest Smash Sporting Club Member;
It is with delight that I write to you this letter with the end of 2020 approaching us, and a new bright 2021 ahead of us. We sincerely wish our community of members are healthy and safe amidst the COVID-19 global pandemic and its repercussions.
We would like to express our utmost gratitude to our members for creating initiatives to financially aid our staff during the Great Lockdown; your support to us is what our community is all about.
It was quite a challenging year globally, and to combat it and power through, we at Smash Sporting Club did not give in during the Great Lockdown, and we used this time to improve our services and facilities for the reopening.
During the Great Lockdown we stayed in touch with our members and sports community by providing online platforms such as Smash Mobile Application and social media channels into conducting online classes and facilitating club services digitally. Moreover, as part of our promise to our members and our strategy, we did not halt any construction work in the New Extension, which resulted in us succeeding in launching our new facilities during one of the most difficult times this generation has witnessed. Additionally, the decision was made to not resort to Construction Contribution Fees from our members as opposed to all other clubs in the country.
The New Extension, with its top-of-the-line facilities and new modern design, provides our members with a revamped, redefined sports clubs experience; the one of its kind in the country. Our new facilities are designed to provide comfort and luxury to our members by adding in one recreational pool with built-in massage, Jacuzzi, and water beds, and a kiddy pool with water games. Additionally, our new services include a new Italian restaurant, Body and Mind SPA, a spacious Fountain Garden Café, and Family and Adults lounges. Regarding sports, we have added 2 new hard Tennis Courts, 4 new Clay Courts, SSC Fitness Center (a spacious state-of-the-art Gymnasium with the latest equipment and an Aerobics Studio), Physiotherapy Center, Squash Complex managed by Basem Makram, New Multi-Purpose Hall, and a Day Care Center.
Increasing our size to more than twice has cost our operations expenses to double, which was challenging considering the economic slowdown, the complete lack of revenue that we experienced during the entire Lockdown period, and the increasing inflation the country is witnessing; in order to maintain our improving level of service and retain our expenses, we shall be having a 20% increase on our 2021 annual fees.
Concerning new rules and regulations, as Grandparents are an integral part of each family, we have allowed access to all Grandparents into all areas of the club including the new extension via club invitations - please refer to invitations guidelines. We have also introduced a discounted membership offer for Grandparents; kindly refer to our Customer Service to review our rules and regulations.
Our Team is dedicated to making sure our members and community get the best service and spend the best time at their second home; we would be pleased to see you more often at the club and have your feedback on our services through Smash Mobile Application. In hopes to combat and coexist with COVID-19, we are urging all members to download our Mobile Application for contactless services; you can change and edit your group training schedules, rent a court, rate our services, submit payments and follow our instant updates and announcements.
Regarding our safety precautions and maintaining our members' health and wellbeing, we are still running all sanitary and disinfection measures in all the premises; we ask members to abide by our maximum capacity regulations in all our areas, in addition to complying with wearing masks and performing hand sanitization regularly. Moreover, to encourage healthy and immunity-boosting activities, we will be providing free outdoor sports classes to help elevate our members' fitness and immunity.

It is with delight that I write to you this letter with the end of 2020 approaching us, and a new bright 2021 ahead of us. We sincerely wish our community of members are healthy and safe amidst the COVID-19 global pandemic and its repercussions.
We would like to express our utmost gratitude to our members for creating initiatives to financially aid our staff during the Great Lockdown; your support to us is what our community is all about.
It was quite a challenging year globally, and to combat it and power through, we at Smash Sporting Club did not give in during the Great Lockdown, and we used this time to improve our services and facilities for the reopening.
During the Great Lockdown we stayed in touch with our members and sports community by providing online platforms such as Smash Mobile Application and social media channels into conducting online classes and facilitating club services digitally. Moreover, as part of our promise to our members and our strategy, we did not halt any construction work in the New Extension, which resulted in us succeeding in launching our new facilities during one of the most difficult times this generation has witnessed. Additionally, the decision was made to not resort to Construction Contribution Fees from our members as opposed to all other clubs in the country.
The New Extension, with its top-of-the-line facilities and new modern design, provides our members with a revamped, redefined sports clubs experience; the one of its kind in the country. Our new facilities are designed to provide comfort and luxury to our members by adding in one recreational pool with built-in massage, Jacuzzi, and water beds, and a kiddy pool with water games. Additionally, our new services include a new Italian restaurant, Body and Mind SPA, a spacious Fountain Garden Café, and Family and Adults lounges. Regarding sports, we have added 2 new hard Tennis Courts, 4 new Clay Courts, SSC Fitness Center (a spacious state-of-the-art Gymnasium with the latest equipment and an Aerobics Studio), Physiotherapy Center, Squash Complex managed by Basem Makram, New Multi-Purpose Hall, and a Day Care Center.
Increasing our size to more than twice has cost our operations expenses to double, which was challenging considering the economic slowdown, the complete lack of revenue that we experienced during the entire Lockdown period, and the increasing inflation the country is witnessing; in order to maintain our improving level of service and retain our expenses, we shall be having a 20% increase on our 2021 annual fees.
Concerning new rules and regulations, as Grandparents are an integral part of each family, we have allowed access to all Grandparents into all areas of the club including the new extension via club invitations - please refer to invitations guidelines. We have also introduced a discounted membership offer for Grandparents; kindly refer to our Customer Service to review our rules and regulations.
Our Team is dedicated to making sure our members and community get the best service and spend the best time at their second home; we would be pleased to see you more often at the club and have your feedback on our services through Smash Mobile Application. In hopes to combat and coexist with COVID-19, we are urging all members to download our Mobile Application for contactless services; you can change and edit your group training schedules, rent a court, rate our services, submit payments and follow our instant updates and announcements.
Regarding our safety precautions and maintaining our members' health and wellbeing, we are still running all sanitary and disinfection measures in all the premises; we ask members to abide by our maximum capacity regulations in all our areas, in addition to complying with wearing masks and performing hand sanitization regularly. Moreover, to encourage healthy and immunity-boosting activities, we will be providing free outdoor sports classes to help elevate our members' fitness and immunity.

Gym Booking and Regulations
We are back to the gym starting the 1st of August while abiding by COVID-19 protocols for your safety. Please adhere to the rules below.
Gym Rules & Regulations
- Working hours will be from 9AM till 9PM
- Gym is subject to disinfection every 50 minutes for 10 minutes, entrance to the gym will not be allowed during that time
- Training duration is only 50 minutes, and once a day per person, maximum 3 times a week

Dearest Smash Community
It is our pleasure to be communicating with you again; we are delighted to announce that our doors will open to our members on the 1st of July!
While we are glad to be seeing you again soon, your health and safety is our number one priority, therefore, all sports activities will operate in a very strict manner to ensure we apply all COVID-19 procedures for a period of one month (subject to change).
Club working hours will be from 8:00AM to 9:30PM. Although we shall be doing the maximum hygiene and social distancing protocols, attending any training or visiting the club in general is at the member’s and player’s own risk.
Below are general rules for visiting the club based on the Ministry of Health COVID-19 procedures
1. Wearing a mask is mandatory for entrance and for staying inside the premises
2. A temperature check up will be done at the gate
3. Maintaining a 2m distance between each other is mandatory
4. Avoiding touching all surfaces as much as possible
5. Our staff will be complying with all procedures such as wearing masks and sanitizing their hands regularly
6. All surfaces and training areas will be disinfected every hour and between each training session
7. Each sport will have a guidebook to be followed
8. A maximum of 2 invitations can be used for each family
9. Please abide by the maximum capacity of allowed persons inside the bathroom
10. Lounges and restaurants will allow 25% of their capacity
11. Please abide by the floor signages when queuing to maintain social distancing
12. There will be a gate for entrance and a gate for exit
13. Abide by the entrance and exit routes to avoid crowdedness and ensure social distancing
14. A quarantine room is available at the club in case of any suspected COVID-19 discovered case, until calling the emergency hotline according to the Ministry of Youth & Sports’ instructions
15. Swimming pool will remain closed except for swimming classes
16. Gym will remain closed
17. Playground areas will remain closed
18. Lockers, showers and changing rooms will remain closed except for toilets
19. We advise elders, and any member or player who is not feeling well to stay at home

COVID-19 Announcement
In light of the growing concerns over COVID-19 (Corona Virus), and as we are committed to the health and well being of our community, it has been decided that all sports activities, SPA & Gym, swimming pools, restaurant and lounges, will be closed for 2 weeks starting today 15th of March.
We welcome our members in our open areas only, with strict measures of ensuring the maximum hygiene applied to our staff and members during operation hours.
We urge all members to stay home in case they’re not feeling well, and to adhere to all government decisions and regulations regarding movement and access to gatherings. We are optimistic that with enough awareness and actions we will pass this pandemic safely.
